New Stuff!!

Outdoor movie Saturday nite (last nite)...We had 35 people there to see Percy Jackson.  That was a good number considering the coolness of the evening, although I didn't think it was really that cold.  However, Since Amie Stephens pointed out at the uth council meeting, I've got more natural insulation than many others (another words, she said I was fat!!).  Anyway...between both times we had the outdoor movie, I think it was fun and successful.  Many thanks to Cindy Caldwell for lending us the blow up screen and thanks to Dave Hughes for assisting in setting up and taking (and putting back up) the projector from the youth room so we can watch the movie in HD.  I think this is something we should plan again several times in the spring and throughout the summer......what's your thoughts on this?

Mystery Dinner:  I'm going to cut off sign-ups for parts as of this Wednesday since I've got to give Scott Robertson (our caterer for the evening) and # for the amount of food.  So...if you haven't signed up yet and want to come, email or text me A.S.A.P. before Wednesday and I'll give you a part.  FYI...the dinner is Saturday nite, Oct. 30, 7-10 p.m.  ALSO....we'll need some help setting the tables and the scene that night around 530.  Bring your costume and finish getting dressed after we finish setting up.  We'll also need some to stay behind to help clean up.  Thanks for your help.

Turkey Bowl and Dinner:  Saturday, Nov. 27.  We'll meet at 10 a.m. at Southampton M.S. for the game.  All are invited...invite friends, neighbors, or whoever.  We'll be playing Flag Football.  Following the game, we will go back to the youth center and enjoy some football on the big screen and also a meal together.  We will be deep frying a turkey and (again) Mr. Scott Robertson will be providing the other foods.  You'll just have to bring a dessert.  Starting on Nov. 7, we'll have a sign-up on the bulletin board, again, so we can give Mr. Scott a round about number of who's coming so he can know how much food to make.

Please post comments to the blogs so that I know this thing is working!  LOL.  Hope to see you all this week at TNT or FUEL....oh, and don't forget to be going after your purpose this week.  (Had to be at IGNITE to get that last comment....if you didn't get it, come to IGNITE!!!)

Blessings,
Pastor Tom
